Citadel Bambus Katana

Katanas made by Citadel are one of the best. Each sword is completely forged by hand and each craftsman working on it has done its best to produce a unique item. The production of one of those swords takes up to 3 months.
Many mass-produced samurai swords do only have a strip of Same (ray hide) on each side, but not those Citadel sword. A citadel’s sword handle is completely wrapped with the finest ray hide. The traditional handle’s wrapping (Ito) is made of fine Japanese silk with the traditional folded paper triangles (Hishigami), Tsuka (handle) and Saya (scabbard) made of dried Jakwood which is especially strong and has a relative low acid content, so the blade is not getting being gnawed while in the scabbard. only to name some of the special characteristics of a citadel’s Katana.
The blade’s edge is sharp like a razor and made of 1075 carbon steel which has a wonderful Hamon line. The sword has approx. 60° HRC at its edge and about 40° HRC at the blade’s back.
Every sword has a certificate of production, a first-class sword’s cover and a padded Cordura-case for transport.
Because each sword is custom-made there may be some little changeings in size, wight or colour, which are no reason for reclamation
